Introducing PPD Angel
I can't seem to have enough alts! PPD Angel is my newest creation on City of Heroes Freedom server. This character is a mutation defender with kinetics and darkness powers. I made her to go along wih my husband's tank "PPD Brick". This is a fun combo for us that we do a lot in games. I am the healer/buff character and he is the tanker. We've done some type of this combo in other games, and most recently in CoV we leveled a corruptor and brute to level 50 together.
This character is one I am going to add the wings to once I reach enough months for that veteran's reward. 4 more months to go! By then I might even have her up to a high level... if I don't lose interest and move on to something else of course!
My computer is acting better, not any lock-ups after several hours of playtime last night. Yay! *knocks on wood*

Lucy Hits Level 20!
I had a fun team last night on the Freedom server with my blaster Longshot Lucy. She's Arrows/Devices and really dishes out the damage.
I did have a few times where she died during the missions. I have a good screenshot of her being flung across the room before her demise. I was lucky to get a rez, and was back up just in time to ding level 20!
Level 20 is good because I get the stamina power to help recover endurance faster....and blasters need all the endurance they can get. Also at level 20 I get to unlock another costume slot, and do a mission to get my cape.
My computer behaved and didn't lock up or reboot once. Yay! Hopefully whatever problems I had the last few nights have been resolved.

Moved In!
Well...we got moved in over the weekend, and we just got the internet hooked up at the new place.
Yayyy!
I've been unpacking and all that jazz. Oh my gosh, all the crap that I have accumulated! I did find some shoes that I forgot about that are almost new from back when I worked at the shoe store.
I logged in to City of Heroes for a bit and played my thug mastermind for one mission. She is really fun with her double pistols and little peon thugs to boss around. I'm sure I'll get back into playing my main characters over the next few days.
Its nice to be in the new place and getting back to a sense of normal. Heehee well normal for me anyways. ;)

New Job! New House Soon!
Well, it has been a while since I updated the site. I haven't even been in game for a couple weeks. I've been working a new job that is far away! I have an hour and a half drive each way. =(
I have been spending my free time looking for a house and getting a loan set up! We have some places we are looking at, and then hopefully we will make an offer in the next few days! Thanks for the letters of concern, and thanks for still checking back at this website. I look forward to gaming again soon as all this settles down.

The Lord Recluse Strike Force!
The strike force team plans for it's final battle...Statesmen and Crew!
We had another successful Strike Force tonight. There was only one complete group wipe-out, but we came back and beat it the very next try.
The guy that runs this SF has his hands full because so many people are wanting to join his SF team. I wanted to go last night, but I didn't get my name in soon enough and wasn't picked to go.

New Inferno Girl Costume!
I played some of my alt characters last night. First up, I played Inferno Girl and got her from level 18 up to 21. I had some nice teams (thanks you guys!). Reaching level 20 is special in CoX because that's when you can earn your cape and also the second costume slot. I was lucky enough to get some help with both of the required missions. Picking out a new outfit is one of my favorite parts of the game! I went with a total new look since I had a free tailor session token.
Then later, I played my brute, and got her up to level 41 by romping around Recluse's Victory with one of the big spider pets helping me kill stuff. My brute is a joy to play. She can kick some serious booty. I'll write more about her another time. =)

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
I went to see Talladega Nights today. This latest Will Ferrell movie had some funny moments, even some that were not in the trailer. I was disappointed to see that he plays the same clueless dork character he does in every other Will Ferrell movie. If you are looking for a few laughs, air conditioning, and popcorn then go see the movie. Make sure you've already seen some of the better movies at the theatre first though, like Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Clerks 2, and Lady in the Water.
I rate it a C plus.

Another Alt!
One of our good in-game City of Villains friends made a new gangster supergroup on the Freedom server. Jumping on the opportunity, I decided that this was the perfect time to try out the new Thug Mastermind class.
I took the thugs and dark powersets. I am very happy with the "feel" and effectiveness of the powers so far. The thugs seem much better than the ninjas for minions. It has been a while since I played my ninja MM so maybe they are better now. I have Connie up to level 9.
Her costume came out looking pretty good too, I think. Mostly I play my 'toons with armor or pants, but this gal needed the business suit with the short skirt, smokey dark hose, and high heels.
On my main toon tonight, our regular team successfully completed the Lord Recluse Strike Force. Yes, another "Hammy" for Kiari! Rar!

The X-Men
Today's cheapie movie rental is "The X-Men" for 99 cents. Movielink is a legal downloadable movie rental site that I use. I mostly just download the special movies they have Monday-Thursday for 99 cents or less. And...I won't post it here unless I think it's a good movie!

The Hot New Hero
My new controller is already level 18 and I hope to get her leveled up quickly. She has fire and kinetics powers...I call them pyrokinetics!
When things get too hot to handle, its time to call Inferno Girl! *da da daaaaa*
Speaking of hot, back in real life, its freakin hot. We had temperatures in the 90s today, and the heat index was in the 100s. I'm writing my blog today from my laptop inside the air-conditioned bedroom. Ahhhhh. The rest of the house we (try to) cool with fans.
Tomorrow evening I've been invited to play my main Villain in the Lord Recluse Strike Force. I am looking forward to it. My husband got to do it last night, and it looked like he was having a fun time of it. Wish me luck! Rar!

The Monster's Rise and Fall
My husband brought home a big HUGE pack of Monster Energy Drink from Sam's Club. I had one today before I went into work and all I have to say is WOW. That stuff really does give you a kick. I was buzzing with energy and felt good. For about five hours I was like Hammy from Over the Hedge. Then after that, it was like someone turned off a switch. I crashed hard, and was tired and dragging my butt the last three hours of my shift.
My husband is playing a Strike Force on City of Villains tonight with some people on Teamspeak. Since I didn't get home from work in time to start with them, I basically have the evening here to myself, and tomorrow is my day off. Yay!
I plan to get in some good game time tomorrow, and also I want to ride my bike some. Hopefully I will get up early and start my ride before the heat of the day hits...Temperatures are supposed to be in the 90s!

The Big Ding
I've been playing a lot of CoX the past week or so, and managed to get my main character up to level 50! I've since spent plenty of time in the PvP zone, and also started leveling my next favorite alt some.
Not too much else to report, its been slow. The weather has been sooo hot here, its easy to sit in the AC and do nothing. =)
We went to see Clerks 2. I was very happy with it. A nice fun movie that made me laugh all the way through. I give it an "A"!

My Super Ex-Girlfriend
We just got home from watching My Super Ex-Girlfriend! Luke Wilson and Uma Thurman star in this fun new movie that opens today in theatres everywhere. It was pretty good. A vast majority of the funny parts can be seen by just watching the trailer, with the exception of the hilarious bed scene. I still give the movie a more than passing grade, B+, and recommend you go see it.
The other movie that came out today I want to see is Clerks II. Hopefully we will get to go see it Sunday.

Who Wants to Be a Super Dork..er Hero?
Have you guys seen the new reality series that is coming out on the Sci-Fi Channel? Who Wants to Be a Superhero?
I think they are going out of their way to make superheroes look ridiculous and cornball. There are so few things kids have to look up to in this world today. And here Sci-Fi and Stan Lee have come along to shatter and mock the superhero image. Anything to make a quick buck, I guess.

Feeling Better!
I'm doing a lot better today. Whatever made me sick yesterday has pretty much ran it's course. I got some housework done. I aired out the tents from our camping trip and shook out the accumulated dirt and leaves. Then came the task of putting the tents back into the teensy carrying bags that they are supposed be stored in. Several attempts later, I managed to get the tents suitably stuffed into each individual receptacle.
I played some more Hero Online...I made a new physician character and leveled her up to 1Dan 0Kyu (level 10). I picked her profession and then logged out, so I cannot comment too much on the class yet. I have yet to do much teaming in HO, so it will be interesting to see how effective a healer can be. I enjoy the healer role in other MMOs, and I am hoping for another good experience.
